Machining of brake linings and clutch facings

Over many years we have developed our own methods for machining different types of friction lining materials for brake and clutch linings. In many cases we start with sheets or strips that are then machined mechanically to give the dimensions our customers require.

For a number of years we have also been using water to machine friction linings. Water-cutting offers many advantages over conventional machining. It allows us to manufacture complex shapes and achieve close tolerances very easily. It also eliminates the dust that can be generated with other methods of machining. And last, but not least, we have also found this method to be competitive on cost.

We bond materials for friction linings  for brake and clutch linings in our own workshops.
