Clutch Kits and Parts

At Rydahls, we stock a wide range of clutch parts and clutch kits from both Sachs and Valeo for the most common truck models.

Clutch Kits

There are different types of clutches, such as pull or push. On newer models of vehicles, the pull clutch is used since it is more efficient and cheaper to produce. The clutch is the link between the vehicle's engine and transmission, and basically consists of the clutch pressure plate, clutch friction plate and release bearing.

On vehicle models in which large torque to be transmitted, such as construction trucks, so-called dual plate clutches are used. For these types of clutches, two plates and an intermediate ring are used.

We recommend that all circuit components are replaced when any part is worn out, since all the circuit components interact with each other and normally have an equal amount of wear.

Both Sachs and Valeo have complete clutch kits for most models so that you get the best performance and overall economy.

When you order a complete clutch kit from Valeo, there are no requirements to return the old worn out clutch. This is advantageous when the clutch kits and parts need to be transported long distances from our warehouse to you as a customer, because the cost and environmental impact can be reduced. The old clutch kits and parts in this case may be recycled locally.

Flywheels and Flywheel Bearings

Among our other clutch parts, we also stock flywheels and flywheel bearing.

The flywheel is the clutch system's "brake disc" so check that this is not worn while changing the clutch. Otherwise, you can get a stabbing and uneven clutch action.

When you replace the clutch, we recommend that you also replace the flywheel bearing.

Clutch Cylinder

We also offer original clutch cylinders from Kongsberg, which is part of our range of clutch parts.
When replacing the clutch cylinder, we always recommend that you change the brake fluid, which we also can deliver from our supplier ATE.
