SAFIM’s S6 system is available in a modular design and can be adapted to suit most types of modern vehicles and machines.
The S6 system is widely appreciated for its functional possibilities, perfect brake feedback and ease of servicing.

Benefits
SAFIM’s S6 system has a modular design that the designer can easily adapt to different types of vehicle and machine applications.
The ultimate result of this freedom of choice is perfectly optimized response and pedal feedback.
Technical features
* One to four independent brake circuits.
* Horizontal or vertical design.
* Accumulator charging valve for fixed or variable displacement pump that can be equipped with up to three different solenoids.
* The accumulator charging valve’s working brake or parking brake can be equipped with a special pressure relief adjustment that can be useful on vehicles fitted with wet disc brakes, for example, where it may be necessary to reduce the pressure slightly.
* The accumulator charging valve settings can be adjusted manually by means of adjuster screws, including application pressure, release pressure, differential pressure, working ranges, and to optimize spring compensation.
* Can be equipped with pressure sensors to detect operation of the parking brake, working brakes, road brakes and any loss in pressure.
* The accumulator charging valve can be installed separately.
* Solenoid(s) for parking and/or working brakes.
* Solenoid for relieving pump into tank at start-up.
* Solenoids can operate on 12, 24 and 27-volt supplies.
* Solenoids can be two-way (on/off function) or three-way (on/off/flow direction).
* Fully progressive brake application.
* Uses energy from existing hydraulic system.
* Several possible hydraulic connections.
* Footbrake valve can be actuated hydraulically or mechanically from a different location instead of using direct-acting pedal operation.
* Available in positive (pressure circuit application) and negative (draining) versions.
* Modular circuits in the valve can have different piston diameters to provide the required ratio between the brake circuit pressures and compensate for the dynamic change in forces on the vehicle.
* A number of spacer kits and spring kits are available for the footbrake valves to allow fine-tuning of the optimum brake feedback from the system.
Operating range
* Maximum brake circuit pressure
Piston diameter 14 mm: 15–70 bar
Piston diameter 10 mm: 60–140 bar
Piston diameter 9 mm: 120–160 bar
Piston diameter 8 mm: 140–180 bar
* Accumulator charging pressure 20–220 bar.
* Operating temperature range -30 till +90 degrees Celsius.
Typical applications
Middleweight and heavyweight vehicles.
