Hydraulic Brake System S6 in Modular Design |
SAFIMs hydraulic brake system S6 is available in a modular design and can be adapted to most types of vehicles and machines.
The S6 brake system is a very popular system for its functional ability, perfect brake feel and ease of maintenance. Used in Medium-sized and heavy vehicles.
Advantages of the Hydraulic Brake System S6 in Modular Design
SAFIMs S6 system has a modular hydraulic brake system that designers can easily adapt to different types of vehicles and machinery applications.
The range of choices offers perfect optimized feedback and pedal feel.
Technical features
- Up to four independent brake circuits.
- Hanging, horizontal or vertical construction.

- Accumulator charging valve for fixed or variable pump can be equipped with up to three different electrical valves (solenoids).
- The accumulator charging valve for working and parking brakes can be fitted with a special pressure relief adjustment that may be of interest for example for vehicles with multi disc brakes, when you need to slightly limit the pressure.
- The accumulator charging valve can be manually adjusted by adjustment screws for on/off pressure, differential pressure and to modify areas of work, optimization with the right spring rate.

- Can be equipped with pressure sensors that tell when to use the parking brake, working brake, or service brake and when there is pressure loss.
- The accumulator charging valve can be separately installed.
- Electric valve(s) (solenoid) for parking and/or working brake.
- Electric valve (solenoid) to relieve pumping into the tank at startup.
- Electrical valves (solenoids) can be in 12, 24, and 27 volts.
- Electrical valves (solenoids) can be two-way (on/off function) or three-way (on/off/reverse flow)
- Fully progressive brake application.
- Uses energy from the existing hydraulic system.
- A variety of possible hydraulic connections.
- The foot brake valve can be hydraulically or mechanically affected from another location instead of using direct foot-applied pressure.
- Available for positive and negative brakes.
- Module circuits in the valve may have different piston diameters to get an exchange between the brake circuit pressure, which takes better account of the vehicle's dynamic force of change.
- There are a number of distance and spring rates to the foot brake valves to "fine tune" the optimized braking feel of the system.
Operating Range
- Emergency brake pressure maximum
Piston diameter 14 mm: 15-70 bar Piston diameter 10mm: 60-140 bar Piston diameter 9mm: 120-160 bar Piston diameter 8mm: 140-180 bar
- Accumulator charging valve pressure 20-220 bar.
- Can work within the operating temperature -30°C to +90°C.
