Parking and Fail Safe Brakes for Disc Brakes

For disc brakes, there is an option called SAHR and this has both the parking and fail safe brakes. See the pictures below.

If you need parking and fail safe brakes for multi disc brakes, a combination cylinder of SAHR type is used.

For drum brakes with brake cams, the spring brake chamber can be used as both the parking and fail safe brake.

Multi-cylinders or multi-function cylinders, have both the parking brake, fail safe brake as well as the service brake.

SAHR FSG110 - with Two Negative Fail Safe Brakes

Below is an example that has one brake disc and two SAHR brakes in size FSG110 that have two negative fail safe brakes. The system also includes a manual pump in the event that the hydraulic pump fails. The image also shows the membrane cylinder, master cylinder and brake fluid reservoir.
